Hope for Today is a program of the Chance for Life Foundation A Romanian foundation that has been around for 7 years.

The time period of the program: 2003 - 2010
The program aims at offering a group of 21 HIV positive institutionalized teenagers the chance of living in a family and the opportunity of developing at their best.

Financial support is offered by Vodafone Foundation Romania.

The teenagers included in the Hope for Today program benefit from:

  • special schooling, adapted to the needs of each one of them.
  • writing materials and books required for proper studying.
  • courses in photography, theater.
  • tutoring for foreign languages such as English and Spanish.
  • a nourishing supplement.
  • working on the computer: 2 hours/week.
  • theatre therapy and recreational activities.
  • preparation for an independent life.
  • annual national camps and trips.
  • parties for each birthday and holidays.


    • WORKSHOP FOR THE FUTURE

    Within the "Workshop for the future", 13 HIV+ youngsters from placement centers, about 18 years old, have the possibility to work four hours a day. The aim of the project is to help them to get independent life abilities to understand the importance of working and managing their own salary.

    Financial support is offered by United Way Romania.

    The objects made here are offered for sale to companies and individuals from Romania and abroad in a "Charity Shop". The funds will be used for giving pocket money for youngsters, raw materials and organizations of holiday camps and trips.

    In the past years, the youngsters and volunteers of the organization made cards and interior design objects for some important national and international companies:
  • Medsana
  • Medicover
  • Vodafone
  • Cuprom
  • Coca-cola

    • Just to name a few, in exchange for significant sponsorships.

    By ordering for yourself or your company, you contribute to a better life for a disadvantaged young person.
